C&H Joinery was founded in Bloemfontein in 1990 by the late Mr. H.S.vH. Nienkemper, an attorney, and Mr. C.S. Nienkemper, a B.Sc. (Physics) graduates. The company originated as a manufacturer of cupboard components for the fast-growing townhouse and retirement home market.
During 1991, after various research and development processes, the company started a division to manufacture solid pine cupboard doors for the export market.
After the successful completion of several export contracts, the owners utilized the facility to start a wooden window and door manufacturing plant that included the final installation and quality control of the separate units, which still supplies windows and doors throughout South Africa and Southern Africa (Lesotho, Namibië, Angola, Mozambique).
Since 1994 the company started to focus more on specialized joinery projects, and tenders for several contracts were awarded during the past 27 years, for example; in Mbombela (Nelspruit), Mpumalanga for Sivukile Stocks & Stocks at the Riverside Government Office Complex, in 2015 the company was responsible for the manufacturing and installation of the joinery items in the public areas of the Radison Blu Hotel in Lomé, Toga in West Africa. (see Project list)
C&H is currently engaged in Maseru with the decorative joinery in the Royal Palace of the Lesotho monarch, King Letsie III (which includes the residence, offices, staff quarters, etc.)
Due to the geographical position of the manufacturing facility, the company’s core business is to execute turnkey projects all over Southern Africa and is proud of its capacity to cater for the development of Hotels, Hospitals, Shopping Centers, Clinics, etc.
Our expertise in the above does not limit us in providing the same quality service in the residential section that includes modern, classic and exclusive built-in kitchens, doors, bars, bedroom cupboards and much more.
